EMS Billing Inquiry
The Metro West Fire Protection District provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) EMS services to our entire community. To minimize any financial impact on our residents, we only bill your insurance and only for the level of care you receive. As of January 1, 2024, under our current billing practice, residents should not receive a bill for EMS services. If you do receive a bill, please contact our Deputy Chief of EMS by calling (636) 458-2100 (Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm.
For non-resident patients, we will first bill your insurance. If the charges are not fully covered, you may receive a bill for the remaining balance. Please follow the instructions on the bill and respond at your earliest convenience.
If you have received a request by mail for a signature or insurance information from a company called EMS-MC (located in Lewisville, NC), please know that this is a legitimate request. EMS-MC is our authorized third-party billing partner. Sometimes, we are unable to gather all necessary billing information at the time of service and must follow up afterward.
To help you recognize this request, below is a sample Signature and Insurance Request Form from EMS-MC. Because it asks for personal information and a signature, we want to assure you that this is a valid request associated with our services.
If you ever have questions or are unsure about the legitimacy of a billing or insurance request, please contact Deputy Chief of EMS by calling (636) 458-2100 (Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm.
